Join our St. Joseph Medical Center Nurses in a Pre-Strike Rally!
Join the nurses of AMITA St. Joseph Medical Center for a Pre-Strike Rally of Unfair Labor Practices on Wednesday, July 1 at their home facility.
Why Strike? The nurses of St. Joseph Medical Center have called a strike due to unfair labor practices committed by the hospital and failure to reach an agreement regarding safe staffing, preservation of sick leave, PTO benefits, and fair wages. St. Joseph Medical Center has instead been granted bail outs by the federal government, and sold out its workers, including wage freezes and failure to address unsafe work conditions. In 2019 alone, nurses documented 205 days of unsafe patient care conditions. That’s 56{f3e6c8b6221fcc4b8784a51a36efd8fe4cddb8a7a15932922a99d1453fe0508c} of the year.
To this, nurses say NO!
Please gather at the following address at 8:00AM: 333 Madison Street in Joliet. NOTE: we will gather on the Springfield Avenue side of the hospital, near the parking garage.

*The INA strongly encourages the use of face masks throughout the strike and proper social distancing to ensure the safety of all participants.*
