Who We Are

The Illinois Nurses Association is an independent, Illinois-based union fighting for healthcare workers and our patients across the public and private sector. We’re at the forefront fighting for healthcare workers’ rights to empower us all to be the best advocates for our patients and communities.

Our mission is to work for the improvement of healthcare standards and availability for all people in Illinois, foster high standards for nurses and healthcare workers, stimulate and promote professional development, and advance our economic and general welfare.

For over fifty years, the INA has been educating nurses, aiding in contract negotiations, and standing up to the politicians in Springfield to fight for legislation that helps all Illinois patients.
