INA Structure
The INA Board of Directors is the primary governing body in-between the yearly Membership Assembly, and determines the strategic and political direction of the whole union. The Board has four officers on its Executive Committee: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The Board also has elected director seats from all bargaining units, and units of 300 or more (like UIH or RC-23) have 2+ seats. Elections for half of the board occur online every year in the month leading up to the annual Membership Assembly (See INA Bylaws).

Each local bargaining unit also has their own elected leadership that must adhere to their local bylaws, as well as the bylaws of the INA. Units also have stewards and committees that ensure members’ interests are being represented in their workplaces and in union decision-making.
