Illinois Primary Election Update
This election cycle demonstrated the real impact of early, values-driven endorsements and strong organizing in shaping outcomes up and down the ballot. INA’s early endorsement of Juliana Stratton proved decisive, helping propel her from a strong contender to a clear and commanding victory. From the very beginning, we recognized her commitment to working people and to confronting the growing influence of private equity in healthcare, an issue that continues to put patient care and frontline workers at risk. Throughout the campaign, she repeatedly credited our union for standing with her early and helping build the momentum that carried her across the finish line.
With this win, Stratton will bring that partnership and perspective to the U.S. Senate, where she will have a powerful platform to hold private equity accountable for its role in driving up costs, cutting staffing, and undermining care. We are proud to have been part of it and ready to keep pushing forward together.
Our endorsed candidates showed strength across the board this cycle— congrats to these winners! We’ll be helping them cross the finish line in November.
