Endorsement Process

The endorsement cycle for the 2026 primaries has begun. The deadline to apply for an early endorsement is October 13th,  2025, with another round of consideration occurring in January 2026. Please send completed questionnaires to Margo Gislain at mgislain@illinoisnurses.com.

All political endorsements are considered and voted on by the rank and file union members that sit on the Political Action Committee. Upon the completion of the questionnaire, you may be asked to sit for an interview with those nurses to get a better sense of your candidacy and whether you’re a right fit for the Illinois Nurses Association’s endorsement.
